Site, load and connection assessment

Review usable roof or land area, shading, electricity bills and load profile, site access and the proposed grid connection. Structural and ground conditions determine which mounting solution can be considered.

Expected deliverables

Output: site plan, load profile, connection constraints and missing-data register.

PV array and inverter engineering

Define the array layout, string configuration, DC/AC sizing and inverter selection. Check temperature-adjusted string voltage, current limits and the MPPT operating range against the selected equipment datasheets.

Expected deliverables

Output: string schedule, cold Voc/hot Vmp, MPPT current and DC/AC checks.

Energy yield and storage

Estimate annual generation using location, orientation, shading and system losses. Installed power in kWp is not the same as energy production in kWh. If storage is included, size it for usable energy, load power and required backup duration.

Expected deliverables

Output: climate/loss assumptions, backup-load scenario, usable storage and BMS compatibility.

Electrical design and protection

Specify the single-line diagram, cable sizing, voltage-drop assumptions, isolation, earthing and protection coordination. Grid-interface settings and monitoring requirements must follow the project conditions and applicable utility requirements.

Expected deliverables

Output: SLD, cable/protection calculations, earthing and structural approval by the responsible engineer.

Procurement and delivery

Prepare a bill of materials with model references, quantities and approved technical specifications. Confirm availability, warranty documents, delivery milestones and responsibility for shipping, inspection and any substitutions before ordering.

Expected deliverables

Output: BOM, approved product documents, delivery schedule and inspection/shipping responsibilities.

Construction, testing and handover

Agree the installation plan, inspection records and commissioning procedure. Handover can include as-built drawings, test results, equipment records, operating instructions and training, according to the contract.

Expected deliverables

Output: test records, as-built drawings, training and a service plan as contracted.

Before you begin

Can I buy equipment without an EPC contract?

Yes. Request a quotation for individual solar panels, inverters, batteries or a project equipment package. Design and installation services are scoped separately when required.

Will solar panels keep the building powered during a grid outage?

Not necessarily. A standard grid-tied system is not a backup power system. Backup requires a suitable inverter, compatible storage where needed, electrical isolation and a design matched to the essential loads.

What determines the price and project schedule?

Capacity, site conditions, selected equipment, connection requirements, construction scope and delivery timing all matter. The technical and commercial offer states inclusions, exclusions, payment terms and milestones; generation or financial returns are not guaranteed by a generic website estimate.
